Our Story
(so far!)
How It All Began
In the midst of the global crisis in 2021, the couple both found themselves isolated at home and in search of friends. They each discovered an app which lets you talk to strangers and find new friends. Against all odds, they found each other. A few days later the app shut down, making the chances of them finding each other even more surprising.
Despite initially struggling with the time difference, the couple quickly became friends, which led to a mutual crush.
On December 31 2021 Daisy's time, and January 1 2022 Daniel's time, Daniel asked Daisy to be his girlfriend. This cunning plan bought Daniel a whole extra day to remember their anniversary.
Where We First Met
Shortly after the New Year, Daniel disregarded all he knew about stranger danger, and joined Daisy and her family on a trip to Canada. He left the airport in Toronto and climbed in the back of the car with the whole Miller family, where awkward introductions ensued, and they all met for the first time.
The group spent several days in Toronto and at Niagara Falls together, and were lucky enough to be able to change the colors of the lights on the falls at night. They even received to prove it, just in case you had any doubt.
First Date
After the trip to Canada, and a long drive for Daniel to Kentucky, Daisy surprised him with a tour of the Cincinnati Observatory.
During this date, they learned about the oldest functioning observatory telescope and even got to look at the moon through it! Afterwards, the couple enjoyed tacos together.
Adventures Together
Over the next few years, Daniel and Daisy traveled to numerous places and experienced amazing adventures. Some of which include:
- Attended a concert in Los Angeles
- Visited historic sites in London
- Held penguins in Kentucky
- Strolled along the coast in North Wales
- Fed foxes in Kent
- Explored Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
- Smelled lavender in the Cotswolds
- Went wine tasting in Indiana
- Watched bats flying overhead in Chester
- Picked apples in Ohio
Each adventure brought them closer together, filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

The Proposal
In May 2024, Daniel planned a special date night for the two of them. Daisy had previously sent Daniel a paint date night idea, which he cleverly included in his proposal plan. After countless hours of research, Daniel crafted the perfect, adorable proposal.
Following an enjoyable evening of painting, Daniel led Daisy outside, where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and they shared a kiss to celebrate their engagement!
